Our History
Bilston Nursery School is a maintained local authority nursery school which opened in September 1999 although the site has provided education to the local community since 1878.
According to Wolverhampton Archives, St Edward's School opened on the site in 1878 catering for 234 children and 160 infants. From 1910 the school catered for infants and lower junior pupils until it became St Edward's CE Infant School in 1953. At this point the school taught infant pupils whilst older pupils were taught at St Leonards Junior School. In January 1970 the two schools combined to create St Leonards Junior and Infant School and moved to Albany Crescent.
